Why Group Volunteering Works
Group volunteering brings people together around a shared mission — restoring trails, habitat, and public lands. Working side-by-side fosters camaraderie, teamwork, and a sense of accomplishment that’s shared with friends, colleagues, or community members. For corporate teams, clubs, organizations, or classes, WRV provides leadership, equipment, training, and project support — so you don’t just volunteer, you make meaningful impact while bonding over a great cause.
What a Group Project Looks Like
- Plan & Schedule — You reach out or browse upcoming group-friendly projects; WRV helps match logistics to your group size and timing.
- Group Check-In & Briefing — On the day, WRV staff provide safety and orientation, tools and materials, and divide the group into crews so everyone has a role.
- Team-based Work — Projects may include trail work, habitat restoration, planting, cleanup, or other land stewardship tasks — perfect for groups working together.
- Wrap-up & Reflection — At the end, the whole group meets for a “wrap-up circle” — share stories, reflect on impact, and celebrate the work done together.
Who Can Join
Groups of any kind — corporate teams, clubs, classrooms, faith-based groups, friend circles, or community organizations — are welcome to volunteer with WRV. No prior experience is required. We can tailor projects to your group’s size, skill level, and interests.

- WRV will help match a project that fits your group size and schedule.
- Sign up as a group in our VolunteerHub or via email, and receive project logistics and necessary information.
- Show up — WRV provides tools, training, leadership, and all you need for a safe, fulfilling day outside.
